HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL MOTHERS
Thank You for Visiting!
Thanks for taking time to visit our Dallas Baptist Church website. We hope these pages will help you become familiar with our church family, and give you insight as well as answer questions you may have.
What are we about at Dallas Baptist Church?
For over 131 years we at Dallas Baptist Church have been committed to being a New Testament Church, determined to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20) and make Jesus known in a simple and relevant way.
If you are wondering who we are, what we believe, than I call to your attention some key words:
The Reason We Are Here
In a world where people are constantly bombarded with negativity and “bad news” we believe God has called us together for a reason. At Dallas Baptist you will find smiling people who will gladly
receive you warmly. The music is cheerful, and the message is inspiring and uplifting. The message of Jesus Christ is really “Good News!”
To Make Jesus Known
Just as Jesus called men unto him as disciples, so we teach and preach discipleship. Discipleship is not just attending, or giving, but it has to do with a relevant lifestyle in which “Every Member is a Minister,” and has a ministry to perform unto God as well as unto others. He said, “I have come that you might have life, and have it abundantly.” The life that Jesus offers is spelled with a capital “L”. Our relationship with Jesus is not dull or boring, but the best everyone is truly seeking.
In A Simple Manner
Being a Christian is not about rules and regulations but it is about God’s grace, love, mercy, forgiveness offered by Jesus Christ and our faith.
Salvation is 99% of what Christ did for us on the cross, and 1% of what we do in response is “faith”. The gospel is so simple even a child can understand.
And Relevant Way
Our desire is to be a relevant New Testament Church meeting the needs of a hurting and lost world in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Come as you are and see the love of the Lord Jesus Christ at Dallas Baptist Church loving Him and one another. Jesus in his earthly ministry called disciples to him, loved them, trained them, empowered them, sent them out, and they literally changed the world! Today, Jesus is still calling, loving, empowering, and sending us out. Come and see. You will find that we are a relevant church. |
