Your first visit to any church can be a challenging experience. Many questions may rush through your minds such as: How do I get there? Where do I park? What time should I arrive? What do I wear? What’s there for children?
PARKING?
We are located at 402 West Trade St right next to First Presbyterian Church in Dallas. All of our parking is behind the church facilities and is identified by signs stating Dallas Baptist Church parking. There are several spaces available for handicapped and our sanctuary is handicapped accessible. Click Here For Driving Directions.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
When you visit Dallas Baptist Church expected to be greeted with a handshake and a smile by our greeters as well as other members. We will provide you with a bulletin as well as a CARE ministry card used as a Guest Card, or Ministry Needs Card.
WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE?
We provide a Contemporary Worship Service that begins at 8:45 am. Following the Worship Service there is a time for fellowship with coffee, and refreshments in Huggins Hall directly behind the sanctuary. Sunday School classes start at 9:45 am and the pastor has a Discovery Class for visitors and new members.
Our Traditional Worship Service begins at 10:50. Also, the Pastor leads a Bible Study and prayer service on Wednesday night at 6:00 pm.
WHAT ABOUT CHILDREN?
Parents are encouraged to bring their children to the Contemporary Worship Service and worship together as a family. Following the service Bible Study Classes are provided for all ages, definitely including children and youth.
During the Traditional Service a nursery is provided. A Children’s Sermon is included during the Traditional Service and is followed by a Children’s Church for K-2nd grade.
HOW SHOULD I DRESS?
At the Contemporary Service we encourage you to come as your are. Almost all who worship dress casually. During the Traditional Worship most of church family dress in their “Sunday Best,” but you can dress the way you are. We want you to feel both comfortable and welcome here.
WHAT ABOUT THE OFFERING?
