Music is Vital
Music is a vital part of worship at Dallas Baptist Church. We use a variety of music and as well as instruments in worship.
In the 8:50 am Contemporary Worship Service we use a Praise Team that leads us in singing modern songs that are upbeat and uplifting. Some will even raise their hands as we worship the Lord.
The Traditional 10:50 service always uses the organ, piano, Adult Choir, but often we have a quartet or soloist accompanied by guitar or piano that sings. Traditional hymns are the main songs that we sing.
Through the music and praise we lift up our voices together in praise to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Come Join our Adult Choir!
The adult choir seeks to lead the congregation into the ‘Spirit’ of worship; by praising of God the Father, and Christ Jesus the Son through the singing of God’s word in song.
The choir ministers to the DBC church family and community by leading the weekly worship services, revivals, and homecomings, etc.; as well as special holiday programs for the Christmas and Easter seasons.
Hoping to fulfill the blended musical taste of ‘Today’s’ congregation, the choir offers the worshippers song and hymn selections, and arrangements, from Traditional, Contemporary and Southern Gospel styles of music.
Come, worship and sing with us ‘a new song, unto the Lord.’
Meets Wednesday at 7:15 – 8:30pm. |
Do you play an instrument?
Are you a ‘self-accompanied’ soloist?
We have many opportunities for anyone seeking to glorify God by sharing their gifts and talents.
If you are interested, please contact Rev. Rick Parkhurst for dates and service opportunities.

Come Join the Praise Ensemble!
If you enjoy singing ‘Praise’ and ‘Worship’ songs then, we have a place for you.
The praise team leads worship at the early (8:45am) service, each Sunday morning; and their one focus is, ‘Worship.’
Using a blend of songs and hymns of praise through energized video clips, acoustic instruments, and or a cappella sing-a-longs, the praise team’s desire is to lead the congregation in the joy of worship through song, while preparing to receive God’s scripture and word.
Meets Fridays at 5:45 – 7:00pm. |
