What is the WMU?

WMU^® offers organizations and approaches, as well as ministries, that enable every member of the church to learn about missions, become involved in missions, and live a missional lifestyle. WMU offers many opportunities to fulfill the six areas of missions focus that are at the heart of missions education.

Through the organizations and approaches, adults, students, children, and preschoolers learn about the work and needs of missionaries. There are opportunities to participate personally in missions projects as well as develop a missions lifestyle—something for everyone.

What is Baptist Men Ministry?

God “delights in taking ordinary people and using them as only God can do.”

Baptist Men have a desire to see men and families reached for Christ. They provide ministry to men within the congregation and the community. They evangelize men to church membership, establish men to spiritual maturity, equip men for ministry within the church and provide mission work in the community and throughout the world.

Disaster relief is probably their best-known ministry. During 2008, Baptist Men provided meals to more than 50,000 people a day in Baytown, Texas, reeling from a hurricane. Baptist Men helped many locations in North Carolina recover from tornado damage.
