Leaders of the Church

In accordance with the meaning of the work and the practice in the New Testament, deacons are to be servants of the church. 

Their task is to serve with the pastor and staff in perfoming pastoral ministries tasks of leading the church in the achievement of its mission, proclaiming the gospel to believers and unbelievers, and caring for the church's members and other persons in the community. 

At Dallas Baptist Church, each active deacon is assigned a list of families in the church to be their personal family deacon. 

They minister to these families in their times of need and as the Lord leads them.  They also serve as a sounding board to the Pastor and Church Council for their families as needed.
